My Mustang Interior Revolution

| | Comments (2)

Well, that project that I've been working on is now complete. For the past week, I've been slowly painting certain interior panels of my Mustang. I mainly did this for no real reason whasoever. Hell, it only cost $20 for all the supplies. Of course, I also had to spend some time out in my oven of a car pulling the individual panels out.

I opted for the metallic blue look for them; so, as to match my exterior color.

As you can see, it still doesn't totally fit in with the rest of the interior colors. I'm working on that though. I'm going to paint some other things before I'm really done.

The hardest part, out of this whole project, would have to have been getting the top part of the center console out. Despite having the necessary 'stereo keys', I ended up just yanking it out entirely. Luckily I had my brother to help with this part, because I would have become enraged and simply destroyed it.

The panels on the door were relatively easy to extract. I simply had to pop them out, paint 'em, and pop 'em back in. Ya.

Yea, easily handled. I should get to work on the remaining bits by next week or something. I don't know. I'm in no rush...

aye, very professional job. we had one casuality, though -- a lost screw. we shall mourn its lost.

The missing screw isn't that big a deal. That side of the console is a little loose because of it though. But I'll fix that...
