Update: My B&W G3...

| | Comments (5)

In the constant need to wring all the performance I can from my 'ole B&W, I have further overclocked it. Over the weekend, I found out that holding Command & Option down while opening CPU Director was the key to unlocking more multiplyer settings.

The overclock from the stock 1GHz to 1.1GHz went well. I only hope that this overclock from 1.1 to 1.2GHz goes just as well. Hey, it may not be much but its more.

Yea, I know. It took me several months until I found it out on from someone's blog.

I was initially worried that it would freeze up or something worse from the overclocking. There is a reason they keep it hidden.

Shucks howdy. It seems that my little overclock was causing all manners of crashes and what not. Well, for the little while that it was overclocked, I didn't really do anything to notice any difference in speed.

kinda like when i overclock my video card -- i don't notice anything going any faster, but the benchmarks show it running at 129% efficiency! boffo!!
